23.5. kamera rikkoutui ukkosmyrskyssä. Korjaus ei ole mahdollista häiristemättä pesintää. Korjaus suoritetaan poikasten rengastuksen yhteydessä kesä-heinäkuun vaihteessa.
At 23.th of May a thunderstorm hit near by the osprey couple’s nest in the island of Seili. The camera got broken and unfortunately can’t be fixed until in the end of June or early July when the newly hatched chicks will be banded.
2.7.2009 Kamera toimii taas!. Pesältä löytyi kaksi sääksen poikasta, jotka rengastettiin ja nimettiin Aarniksi (isompi)ja Elieliksi, sekä yksi kuoriutumaton muna.
The Camera works again! Two chicks and one unhatched egg were found in the nest. The chicks were banded and named Aarni (the bigger one) and Eliel.
7.7.2009 Huonoa onnea! Seilin saaressa kaivinkone on vaurioittanut puhelinkaapelia. Tämän seurauksena kaikki tietoliikenneyhteydet saareen ovat toistaiseksi poikki.
Bad luck! The differ has damaged the telephone cable and all data communications are broken for the present.
9.7. Kamera toimii! Tahra linssissä on likaa huuhtoutunee sateiden myötä pois.
The Camera works again. There is a dirt n the lens and it will be washed away during the rains.
28.7. Ensimmäiset lentoharjoitukset. Sääksenpoikanen kävi aamupäivällä kokeilemassa siipiään ensimmäisen kerran pesän ulkopuolella. Muutaman minuutin mittaiset lentoreitit toistuivat pitkin iltapäivää.
Chicks took their first flying lessons in the morning. Flight lasted only about 2-3 minutes, but was repeated many times during the afternoon.
Vielä maaliskuun lopulla merikotkat katselevat sääksenpesältä Saaristomerelle omistajan elkein.

23.5.2009 Nauvon yli pyyhkäisi ankara ukkosmyrksy raekuuroineen. Kamera vioittui klo 16.04.
